I have picked some familiar faces from different fields to have their say on media and its influence on teenagers. Find out how they think media is shaping the lives of teenagers and the country's future.

Media shapes children's world today. From the day they are born, children are put in front of the TV. where they see everything from Hollywood blockbuster movies and animations to Indian housewife-soaps. Especially in Nepal, we have to be vigilant about the programs our children watch on a daily basis, because many of these programs ma be imparting stereotypical roles of women that encourage violence against women, or reflect a more regressive, traditional idea of how women should behave within the household.

When it comes to my children, I try hard not to get them too much into the world of media. I think it is best to keep them away from it. Apart from te cartoons, I would say no to media! As for me, since I got public reognition trhough media, it has been hepful. so It depends on how people take it.
